I was thinking of renumbering the 141s I have, to my "personal favourites" B145, B150 and B155.

All too often, numerals available are the wrong font, size, or both. Some are BR arial style, fer gawds sake. Does anyone have any ideas as to accurate-appearance numerals for a black'n'tan 141? (OR A, C, B101, B121 etc....)?

I've a couple of these to do myself. Seems straight forward enough. Did you have any hassle swapping them over Eamonn?

Be very very carefully with the marker lights.I broke  two of the clear tubes that fit into the holes behind the marker lights, and they are very fragile. The black tape around the lighting pcb has to block out any light bleed. When changing the cabs, you can undo the roof mounted pcb for the cab lighting and fit into new cab.

Lovely job Eamonn, they look the part, also it was really nice to meet yourself and Enda last week at the Camden fort show.

Thanks for taking the time both of you to talk and explain things. Your layout was class and I'm particularly taken with your z21 controller it was nice to have a go and get the feel of a dcc controller. Thanks once again.  Cheers john

An excellent van. These things are just as appropriate to modelling the early years of the 20th century - an era not often covered - right through GSR days and on through CIE times. The last such beasts were still to be seen into the early 1960s and one or two even managed to make it into the black'n'tan era.

They can be used alongside the more modern standard CIE vans.

Until closure in 1961, West Cork had some truly venerable vans of various types.

Some repair work on 084,which I renumbered from 075.A broken lamp iron was replaced, and some of the handrails supports were glued back into place.I think she is looking well now.

The weathering was done by George Norman.

Superb job. Really tastefully done. Love the detail of the weathering (eg base of stanchions) and that it is not over cooked. Class job

The range of Irish decals is gradually coming back into stock, taking advantage of the later spot printed technology which means that the end user doesn't have to cut out any superfluous carrier film. There's more info on this here:

https://www.railtec-models.com/railtec-benefits.php

I've also been leveraging the 3d technology to reproduce some of the NCC plates with some quite nice results:

(Thanks must go to Tony Mirolo for his going above and beyond in helping out with NCC bits).

...and willl also be releasing "201 pack with numbers and 3d plates of your choice" shortly.

The 3d tech has also been leveraged to reproduce some of the NCC plates with very pleasing results. The "18" plates are 3d, just for clarity. The plates themselves are raised from the backing, with the border, mounting bolts and "18" text additionally raised, like the real things.

(A shout out must go to Tony Mirolo for going above and beyond in helping with the NCC detail).

There will also shortly be released a "201 loco number of your choice with matching 3d plates".
