For what its worth i used a 3ft steel rule (used on its side for transition curves) and a pencil, its worked fine for Valencia Arigna and Courtmacsherry.Once you've got one line down the other has to follow.simples.Andy.
I'll see you there though oddly i got asked to take one of my EM layouts Dinas Mawddwy, still as that nice Mr Brunel regarded 7' as standard gauge it sort of makes sense,Andy
Slight point of order it isn't Railcar 20 its 19 the difference is in the toplights 19 had alternate opening toplights whereas 20 had them all opening. Andy
The bulkhead would be steel bear in mind the bodies were built by coachbuilders so the same as on a period bus or lorry. the main visual change is that the luggage rack was cut back on No8 and the exhausts were redirected up the cab front. Colourwise i have always thought that original red was the same as Precision CDR Geranium red but post war it seems to take on a lighter hue possibly more like signal red.As for lettering in 4mm i use LTSR crests and no ones noticed yet (same as on the Castlederg).Andy.
well the info on the Fintown forays come from Donegal circulars so i think they can be regarded as accurate as for the Killybegs jaunt that came from ex staff member albeit we had been in the Castle bar in Donegal for a while Andy
There are records of Phoenix operating as far as Fintown on the Glenties branch on various fair days if the demand outstripped the railcars capacityi have been told that she was occasional employed at Killybegs shunting coal trains when the coal boat arrived but havn't seen any evidence of that.Andy.
Funnily enough my railway present from the Memsahib was LNW as well a Mallard kit for a North Western Steam railcar is there a theme developing here ? Andy
Hate to say it but the early Swilly liveries are anything but simple being to all intents and purposes the LSWRs salmon and brown with the Burtonport being lake and cream sides with vermillion ends my train of them look like something from a circus Andy
